1 3amjosh September 18, 2008 at 9:46 pm: I love a lot of what you guys do, but the Christian world is already secluded to itself enough. Please, make something that’s awesome for the PUBLIC forum, not the Christian world, and then you will be doing a great service for Christ and furthering His kingdom.

Christians blog to each other, read each others blogs, comment on each others blogs, but don’t reach out to the millions of bloggers writing about brokenness in their lives. We can encourage and reach out to them. I’m not knocking this, just dissapointed.

2 Tony September 18, 2008 at 10:52 pm: The point of “this” is too encourage people to express compassion and love to all the people they are connected to, whether Christian or not. I think you are mistaking your priority for what you think should be veryones. We are challenging people to share their faith at several levels of comfort, and promoting them to find their own application.

It is the same thing that happens in healthy Christian community all the time and is in no way insignificant in regards to serving Jesus. Reaching out to people with brokeness in their lives is a exactly what we love people doing, and have been prompting them to do.

I am not really sure what bone you are trying to pick with this, but your assersions are misguided. And you were knocking this, saying you weren’t after you did just shows more confusion.

So, a couple questions:
1. Could you please point me to the link of the last blogger dealing with brokeness that you yourself approached and had conversation with?
2. Why are you upset with Christians praying together and encouraging one another to get better at sharing of themselves?
3. How is the internt not a Public forum?

I suggest for people to simply click the “Next” button, read the blog and leave an encouraging comment. I did not want to spoil or cheapen the comments I left so I didn’t directly link to them, but you can easily search them out if you’d like and see my comments.
2.I think it’s great we pray together and network don’t get me wrong. I actually watched your video all the way through and see you are very much supporting the same ideals I have. I’m not perfect and get frustrated and sometimes say things wrong! Actually had a chat with human3rror and changed my most recent blog post to reflect that. So for that i’m asking forgiveness.
3. It is a public forum, but I see a lot of internal networking. I follow lots of folks on twitter who I know aren’t christians, I work in a church but don’t blog about it much, but the folks I chat with and read my blog know that I love them and that I love Christ. I’ve been influenced by Bob Briners “Roaring Lambs” that we are to be a part of the culture and not run from it. I think we are very close to that point, but missing the mark when we network and create things with the “Christian” label.

Again, I apology for leaving a comment while I wasn’t thinking well. I am sometimes who I want to be the least. That is someone who is judgemental and not loving in how he communicates. Fortunately I have Grace, a God who loves me and leaders who are teaching me skills and guiding me everyday, just like you are.
